MAE PRELUDE for orchestra after Bach’s Partita in E major for violin, BWV 1006 (for Evenings of New Music 2000 – “250 Years After”), Bratislava, October 2000 The piece was written on the request of the festival Evenings of New Music – “250 Years After”. It recycles the 1st part of the Partita in E major for violin, BWV 1006 by Johann Sebastian Bach. It was inspired by the pop version of Partita how it is performed by Vanessa Mae.
